What is Hypnosis and How Does it Work?
This is a really quick introduction to hypnosis
Here is an official definition:
Hypnosis is the induction of a state of consciousness in which a person loses the power of voluntary action and is highly responsive to suggestion or direction.
To give a far more full answer you could say that hypnosis is often over mystified, mis-understood, or simply over complicated. Hypnosis is used to describe a trance like state.
However, in point of fact we all go in and out of mild “trances” every day; those moments when our minds wander and we daydream, when we focus intently on something and block anything else out, or when we “zone out” either in front of the television set, or with a book.
These trance like states, and they are all safe and natural. Hypnosis simply puts you into one of these mild “trance” states purposefully , and gradually, as you keep getting exposed to the hypnotic suggestions of the hypnotist, your patterns of thinking and self beliefs will start to change.
Far from being asleep or unaware, hypnosis is actually a heightened state in which you are both relaxed but your mind is focused.
Because of this heightened way of thinking you can use hypnosis to naturally re-wire your patterns of thinking and negative self beliefs.

Whatever term you use this is a valuable technique for health and well being. Your energy centers or chakras if unbalanced can cause dis-ease in your body. When balanced you have better self esteem, a more positive outlook, fewer emotional problems, and generally feel better.

Chakra Healing
The art of chakra healing has been used for centuries to balance important energy centers in our body called chakras. We can use a number of different tools such as stones or meditation during chakra balancing. The end result will be a physically healthier body and a happier, more peaceful you.
According to practitioners of chakra healing, we all have seven primary chakras that correspond with vital areas of our bodies and emotional and spiritual aspects of our lives. The seven chakras form a line from the base of your spine to the top of your head. Chakras have their own color, vibrational frequency, and symbol. For example, the first chakra is found at the base of the spine and is known as the root chakra. This chakra governs the spinal column, kidneys, legs, feet, rectum, and immune system. So, when this chakra is out of balance, it may lead to lower back pain, varicose veins, leg cramps, rectal conditions, depression, as well as immune related disorders. A lack of balance in the root chakra may be caused by feelings of low self esteem, insecurity, or family concerns.

Alternative Healing Has Gone Mainstream!
Well, not yet. But it’s up to me and you to make it happen. If you shift your consciousness to thinking it is mainstream then you can begin to shift the universal thoughts about energy healing. Alternative healing has many variations. All of which are effective means of healing your physical symptoms, getting you back in touch with your spiritual needs, and assisting in overcoming negative beliefs that affect your emotional health.
Meditation is one way to quiet yourself after a stressful day. Stress effects all areas of the body. If you face the stress and use an energy healing technique to handle it you can nip any possibility of it staying in your body and causing disease. Once the symptoms are present then you can work with healers to energetically get your body back into alignment. As Master Chunyi Lin says energy healing works if you believe and it works if you don’t believe. It’s amazing stuff. It works, period, end of story.
Most of the techniques are simple to learn. Learning to direct your life force energy for your health and well being is fun and enlightening. Once you learn how to do it then you can assist others in their healing as well. Start with breathing in and feeling the energy in your body and then exhale audibly and enjoy knowing that that is life force energy!
So lets all set an intention that soon we will see energy healers on TV instead of chemical solutions that have multiple side effects. That it will be ‘normal’ to visit a Reiki Master for your illness. That EMT’s first administer energy healing. That everyone will be requesting a Shaman to come and bless your homes, gardens, and pets. That you will seek advice from an EFT practitioner on your emotional worries so they can eradicate things from past lives that may still be causing you pain and angst. That talking about Ayurveda is natural. That everyone knows that healing the world begins with healing yourself!
This is the way to peace and freedom. Ask and it shall be given!
